My friend has a 93 chevy Z71. When it is put in 4x4 it blows the fuse. Replaced the actuator at the front diff. and it does the same thing. Any Ideas

i had a 98 that did the same. if it's done any offroading, it may have shorted out a wire under the truck. it could be grounding out on the frame. get it to a mech. or just look yourself for any loose wires

You might have a short in a wire in the motor that switches over to 4x4, but you already changed the actuator, so there might be a short in the switch.

CHECK THE 4X4 INDICATER LIGHT ON THE DASH FOLLOW THE WIRES FROM THER DOWN TO THE FUSE BOX SOME TIMES THE WIRES WILL SHORT OUT AND SENCE THE 4X4 LIGHT ON THE DASH ONLY CAMES ON WHEN IT IS PUT IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE IT WILL ONLY SHORT OUT IN 4WHEEL DRIVE

I has a short somewhere along the line..... I had the same problem on mine a while back..... it doesn't really even have to be off roading for that to happen...... Just normal driving.... over time will cause it to happen.
Good Luck
