needs to protect against rust, just using it to spray some jeep accessories, oh yeah i need it in bright orange

No! Powder Coating is electrolysis applied. The piece you are coating has a negative charge and the paint has a positive charge, it leaves little over spray, but must be baked after, The paint is vary hard and rust-proof.

also the process is expensive.

There is a spray can Epoxy paint,by Shermin-Williams, or use Hi temp engine paint, let it dry 24 hours before use.

no powder coat needs to be baked in order for it to cure.

you can use a zinc oxide primer to protect against rust its a red/brown colour.or use an acid etch primer to get a good key onto the surface you are preparing.hope that helps

Powder coating is the good alternative to the spray paint.It gives you thick and durable coating.
