What is the difference between motor CVVT and motor DHOC specially in Kia Cerato?

CVVT= Constantly variable valve timing. In a normal engine the valves that let fuel and air into the engine work by a camshaft, each lobe is shaped like this <) and the camshaft pushes the valves open and lets the valves close. The camshaft is run off a pulley which is attached to the crankshaft via a belt (cambelt) or chain (you guessed it camchain) With a CVVT engine the valves open at diferent rates ie they can stay open longer, shorter, or wider, depending on how you drive the car (if you thrash it you will cause the valves to open more to allow more fuel and air into the engine and get the exhause gasses out ASAP) As for a DHOC i think you mean DOHC Double overhead cam, going back to the normal engine i mentioned earlier, it just means that you hae 2 camshafts instead of one, engines like this usualy have 16 valves and more, letting in more air/fuel and letting out exhaust gasses quicker making an improvement in economy and performance. PHEW, if that doesent deserve 10 points then I dont know what does!!!

Who the hell cares what the difference is? Foreign auto purchases have had the most direct adverse effect on the economy than anything else. The U.S. economy needs the purchases of Big Three autos to keep American workers employed and Im not just talking about the auto workers. The trickle down of the jobs stemming from the auto industry are huge. Everytime a foreign vehicle is purchased, one American is that much closer to unemployment and financial ruin. Not everyone can work for Walmart.

Of course, the typical comments from foreign car buyers is 'They dont make a product that has any quality'. That is hogwash. Americans make great products, from cars to refrigerators to motorcycles to styrofoam cups. Buy products that can keep our economy going. Buy American products. Not just products that are made here (Honda's built in Ohio, etc.) but products that are made here and the profits STAY in this country. Why do you think the foreign manufacturers come here? Its to have you buy there product, and take the profits back to their country for THEIR economy. The only way this country will ever get out of our financial mess is to stop buying all the crap these foreigners send here and buy from fellow Americans. You mother,father, son, daughter, neighbors and fellow Americans current and future jobs depend on it.Thank you and God Bless America.
